Short CV

Arne Schousboe, Professor, D.Sc.

Employment: Since 1990 Professor at the Danish University of Pharmaceutical Sciences (from Jan 2007 the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Copenhagen)

External funding: Danish Medical Research Council, Lundbeck Foundation, Hørslev Foundation

Research profile: The major research areas include studies of metabolism, transport and receptor interactions of the neurotransmitters glutamate and GABA. Most studies are performed using primary cultures of neurons and astrocytes. In addition expression systems, e.g. Xenopus oocytes and cell lines may be used to study the molecular properties of receptors.
